Visions Stevie Wonder

STEVIE WONDER

A second song from Stevie Wonder.

VISIONS from the Album Innervisions. Motown 1973.

About information of the album see other topic on the blog about a song of the same album:

Higher Ground

“Visions”

People hand in hand
Have I lived to see the milk and honey land?
Where hate’s a dream and love forever stands
Or is this a vision in my mind?

The law was never passed
But somehow all men feel they’re truly free at last
Have we really gone this far through space and time
Or is this a vision in my mind?

I’m not one who makes believe
I know that leaves are green
They only change to brown when autumn comes around
I know just what I say
Today’s not yesterday
And all things have an ending

But what I’d like to know
Is could a place like this exist so beautiful
Or do we have to find our wings and fly away
To the vision in our mind ?

I’m not one who makes believes
I know that leaves are green
They only change to brown when autumn comes around

I know just what I say
Today’s not yesterday
And all things have an ending

But what I’d like to know
Is could a place like this exist so beautiful
Or do we have to take our wings and fly away
To the vision in our minds?

Text speaks for itself; I believe that we create with our ideas and thoughts.

Followed by doing, having and being. To be in a better world.

And I am happy to have discovered this concert YouTube recording and the words that Stevie added during the performance of this song, see below. Longevity for Planet Earth!

Life performing:

Concert from Stevie in London 2009 – Live at Last

Also called, A Wonder Summer’s Night

Stevie started performing again after his mother passed away, this is one of those concerts.

Stevie spoke some words there during life performance as adding’s to the visions and the song about it. And facing reality on Earth.

I have noted the words from the YouTube, herewith:

You know

In this little I’ve been on this planet

I still have discovered something that is unfortunately true

So many don’t get it

And those that do get it are sometime afraid just to let the world know where it is all about

You see, what I am talking about is

Yes, we have our different colours and precedencies

O yeh, I understand all that, I call it just the making of God’s main role of all of us

But the key is we cannot let those things, different of skin and precedencies make us be a part of killing the Earth, to destroy the planet

But putting energies of hate out there

If we don’t put it together soon

We will be, we will see our planet die, right before our eyes

And all it takes is us committing ourselves to understanding that yes, we have differences but the most important thing is that we must agree on this one thing and that is that we must come together as the unity people of the world to save the planet

Yes, we must use our hearts to care for those who are less fortunate then we are

It should not be a choice; it should be a joy to do that

But it is only a small man who cannot see big enough to look in his heart and to do the very best that he can for one less fortunate than he

So, you know what I want and want for you

Kyle (guitar man) and Errol (guitar man), I want you to use your guitars, I want you to play a melody in your own way, I will call it unity melody

Kyle you will start it off and Errol will finish it and you’ll make it incredible in the way of the spirit we’re talking about

Handle it
