Animal collages

COLLAGES of images of all kinds from magazines.

Main artist: an ANIMAL

Other is the fantasy tralala around it, which I get as described below, spiritual hunches.

Start date: September 9, 2021.

Influence, beginning June 2021, involves studying a book by Ted Andrews. “Listening to Animals”

Spiritual and magical lessons from the animal kingdom as a key to self-knowledge and expansion of consciousness.

And another influence comes from creating Soul collages. (R)

(Dutch website: SoulCollage (R) in the Netherlands.

Introduced when attending workshops at Maya Wijsheid.

I just really like it, it appeals to my artistic nature through intuition, insight and what’s deeper inside as knowledge.

Is made on a gray thick cardboard, with images from all kinds of magazines, which you feel attracted to.

Look, find/see, fit, measure, cut, combine and glue.

Original size 20×13 cm and a cellophane foil around it for protection.

It gives me immense joy and a newly discovered sense of fulfillment somewhere inside.

The first Soul collage, made by me was on July 26, 2019.

And later a few more at some workshops through Maya Wijsheid and later at home when this comes up from within.

For me, this is really what happened. Some kind of urge, yes now.

Through a free pick up from someone, I was able to pick up a lot of Happinez magazines there. And later through a friend nature magazine and that’s how this started with the animals. Beautiful photos of all kinds of animals and other nature.

Picked a few, because those are what I want to create the collage of images around. So thought, so done.

Dimensions are diverse, because the cardboard is ‘residual material’ from, for example, drawing pads, calendars, packaging material.

Note: it is not intended to claim any rights for the photos, it is for personal use and purposes.

If known, the photographer is mentioned.

I look at the photo and start to browse the material, which appeals to me to use, some of which use handmade paper. And then I get to work. Discovered that I experience it best, most inspiring and guiding, when I have the collage in my hand or have close it close to me.

I also hung them on the wall, which is very different, distancing.

The first with Animal collage made on September 9th.
